There is much more to this tale than just vamps and sex. There is an against-all-odds deep and caring relationship found in the pages of this story, as well as a suspense-filled "whodunit?" mystery woven into the already-detailed storyline. The underlying theme here is that vamps are people too, and they feel the same wants, desires, jealousies and hatreds that the humans they rely on for sustenance experience. NOCTURNAL URGES is a hot, sexy, edge-of-your-seat-type read that will hold you captive from beginning to surprise ending.

Elizabeth Donald's NOCTURNAL URGES has a little for everyone. An old-fashioned whodunit with the violence we've come to expect in any vampire novel; a love affair against the odds; and a vampire with a tortured past. Her characters run the gamut of emotions.
